The Lexington

With its 34 floors, The Lexington in Liverpool is a distinctive and stylish landmark on the city's skyline. Inspired by Liverpool's maritime history and ties to New York, this exclusive residential building was inaugurated in 2021 and designed by FCH Architects. The building comprises 304 modern and high quality apartments, which are part of Peel Group's comprehensive Liverpool Waters regeneration project. Here, design and functionality have been combined to create a building that both emphasizes the city's history and offers a modern lifestyle choice.

The Lexington's exterior design has been given elegance and durability through the surface treatment of the aluminium, where HAI has supplied anodizing i HAI®-Nature and three different ones HAI® bronze shades. This variety of surface treatment adds depth and a lively play to the facade, which both contributes to an exclusive and aesthetic expression and to the protection of the building's surfaces. The anodization not only ensures a durable surface, but also emphasizes the building's verticality and sleek lines, inspired by New York's iconic skyscrapers.

The anodized aluminum elements provide a long-lasting finish that is resistant to both corrosion and weathering, which is particularly important in a maritime environment such as Liverpool's. At the same time, the shades of bronze emphasize the building's architectural details and support a modern but classic style. This use of anodized aluminum not only contributes to creating a beautiful exterior, but also ensures the building's longevity and requires minimal maintenance – a key element of modern architecture.
