Anodizing aluminum leaves a transparent and natural anodizing layer, but if combined with various pretreatment processes and dyes, color, gloss and texture properties can be adjusted to the desired visual expression.
We use mechanical or chemical pre-treatment processes to provide a ground, brushed or polished surface texture. The subsequent anodizing and coloring process adds endless possibilities to obtain a functional and beautiful material.
The beautiful colors are achieved by an organic or electrolyte immersion process. Dye, metallic salts or combinations are embedded in the surface of the aluminum to achieve optimal UV resistance and color fastness. The coloring is very durable and retains an attractive metallic character.
We offer two standard color ranges: HAI Outdoor and HAI Indoor. The standard colors include: silver, stainless steel, bronze, gold, copper, corten, grey, black, green, blue, red shades and many more.

Anyone who has worked with color knows that the doctrine of color systems is a whole universe unto itself, and the color system and code depends on the industry you operate in. Each color system was developed to represent colors in a specific way, and they have all their advantages and disadvantages.
We have a wide range of standard colors that we are experts in and these colors can also be found as HAI colors.
HAI Colors is made to make it easy for you as a customer to compare against other color systems, plus it gives an opportunity for us to speak the same language. We can match many color systems, such as RAL, PANTONE, CMYK, RGB, NCS or other color systems such as Euras (C colors) or Anolok (440-445).
We can also make customer-specific anodizing colors. HAI have colors that no other anodizing company can imitate, which is why we dare to say that we have unique HAI- colors. In addition, we have extensive experience in working with chemistry, so that your specific wishes can be fulfilled. Black, for example, is not just black.
You will always be able to match the color you bring in our color system. However, in anodizing there are colors that we do not have operative all the time, as we color with many thousands of liters of liquids when we color. The fluid is living chemistry and metals, and it takes a certain amount to keep the dye fluid alive.
For all major color projects, we make minimum and maximum samples so that everyone in the project agrees on which color spectrum we must be in throughout the project.
