Lighthouse

Centrally located on Aarhus Ø is the Lighthouse project, and with a whopping 45 floors, it is Denmark's tallest building. The Lighthouse was designed by the internationally recognized architectural firm 3XN Architects.

With their unique building design, the architects have managed to create a brand that adorns the harbor environment in Aarhus. The inspiration for the construction must be found precisely in the very special location next to Aarhus Bay. The water from the bay acts as a shaping element in the building's facade, where the aluminum elements mimic the shape of the waves. The aluminum facade cassettes are anodised at HAI® in the colors Nature and Desert. When the light from the water is reflected on the building, it creates a beautiful play of color in the anodized elements.

The vision with Lighthouse was to create a trademark for Aarhus that could welcome everyone on land, at sea and in the air.
