HAI® Corten structure
The Energy Tower in Roskilde, designed by the Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat, is an impressive cogeneration plant and an architectural milestone. The building is characterized by its 98 meter high tower and perforated facade, which creates a dynamic visual expression, especially in the evening, when the light shines through the laser-cut perforations. This monumental building has won several international awards for both its architecture and sustainable technology.
HAI has supplied 6.500 anodised aluminum sheets, which give the building its characteristic rust-coloured look. Our specially developed HAI® Corten-structure anodization ensures not only a unique aesthetic, but also a durable and maintenance-free surface that resists corrosion over time. This advanced surface treatment makes aluminum the perfect choice for architectural projects where both design and functionality must go hand in hand.
The energy tower is proof of how anodized aluminum can be used to create a living facade that both supports the building's sustainable profile and gives it a modern, artistic expression. HAI's anodizing technology has helped to realize this vision and shows how we as a supplier can offer tailored solutions for large architectural projects. Read more about anodizing right away here.
